Relatório da ONU confirma que Brasil continua fora do Mapa da Fome

O Brasil consolidou sua posição fora do Mapa da Fome das Nações Unidas, um resultado que reflete a eficácia da retomada das políticas públicas de combate à miséria e de transferência de renda. Segundo o relatório O Estado da Segurança Alimentar e Nutrição no Mundo (SOFI 2026), divulgado pela FAO-ONU nesta terça-feira (21), a taxa de subnutrição no país permaneceu abaixo de 2,5% no triênio 2023-2025.

A reconstrução das redes de proteção social e a valorização do poder de compra impulsionaram a saída de 16,7 milhões de brasileiros da condição de insegurança alimentar severa, que recuou para apenas 0,6%. Esse avanço histórico é coordenado pelo Sistema Nacional de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional (Sisan), que articula ações de inclusão produtiva, crédito agrícola para a agricultura familiar e programas de compras públicas de alimentos.

Além da queda expressiva da vulnerabilidade social, o Brasil garantiu o menor custo de acesso a uma dieta saudável na América Latina e Caribe, registrando a média diária de US$ 4,89 por pessoa. O sucesso no combate à fome é respaldado pela sólida recuperação macroeconômica recente, com crescimento consecutivo do PIB (3,2% em 2023, 3,4% em 2024 e 2,3% em 2025), desemprego em queda para 5,6% e controle da inflação de alimentos, que fechou 2025 em 2,95%.
